Selected for the 2025 University Basic Research Institute (G-LAMP) Project
Kyung Hee University secured the 2025 University Basic Research Institute Support Project (G-LAMP) in the field of Astro-particle & Space Science. With 5 billion KRW in annual funding for up to five years, KHU will strengthen its research infrastructure and drive innovative operations across its major institutes.
The university plans to establish the Institute for Future Space Exploration, led by Professor Jongho Seon (Dept. of Space Exploration), as a convergence platform to break down academic barriers and integrate diverse research ideas. Building on the infrastructure developed since the project's inception in 2025, the Institute for Future Space Exploration is committed to evolving into a world-class research institution by the conclusion of the program.
